Florida Strawberry festival, 2015 has commenced with pomp and agile from 26 February, 2015 at Plant City, Florida. The 11 day food festival will come to an end on 8 March, 2015.

Variety of desserts and dishes featuring strawberries are centre of attraction of the festival. Apart from food, there are exhibits of agriculture, commerce, industry, livestock, fine arts, horticulture and crafts.

The festival was started in 1930 by the Lions Club to promote the local strawberry crop.

The festival is a venue for various free entertainment acts/ events, musical concerts performance. Tickets are required to attend these concerts.

Every year a parade is held in the festivals honor and features ‘Plant City’s Person of the Year award’. The festival also conducts beauty pageant competition with the coronation of ‘Strawberry Queen’.
