The law enforcement source suspected that , the wife of the Gunman, who killed 50 people in the gay nightclub in Orlando, knew about the attack. It is heard that the wife could be charged soon in connection with the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history. A source told that a federal grand jury had been convened and could charge Omar Mateen’s wife Noor Salman as early as Wednesday.

US senator Angus King, a member of the Senate intelligence committee which received a briefing on the Orlando Massacre on Monday told that "It appears she had some knowledge of what was going on," He almost confirmed that "She definitely is, I guess you would say, a person of interest right now and appears to be cooperating and can provide us with some important information,".

Federal investigators have informed that Mateen was mostly self-radicalized and there was no evidence, that he received any instruction or order from outside groups  like ISIS. Mateen was an US citizen born of an Afghan immigrant parent in USA. President Barak Obama told the reporters after a meeting with the White House National Security Council that "He appears to have been an angry, disturbed, unstable young man who became radicalized,"

Salman told federal agents that she tried to talk to her husband about the execution of the attack. She added that he was mentally unstable and used to beat her. She even fled from her house after 4 months of her marriage.
