Mahindra & Mahindra has broadened its collection of all-black vehicles with the introduction of the XUV700 Ebony Edition in the Indian market. This updated SUV starts at a price of Rs 19.64 lakh (ex-showroom) and can reach up to Rs 24.14 lakh (ex-showroom). It features design modifications compared to its standard counterpart, showcasing the brand's fresh perspective on black SUVs. Below are the specifics of this new model.

Regarding the variants, the Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition is derived from the highest-spec trims of the SUV, namely the AX7 and AX L versions. With these enhancements, these models are priced approximately Rs 15,000 higher than their standard equivalents. They maintain the same engine options as the regular model, featuring a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, along with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission choices. However, it is important to note that both engine variants lack an all-wheel-drive feature.

The striking appearance is accented by a unique paint known as Stealth Black, and the SUV is adorned with Ebony badges located on the driver-side door and the tailgate. Additionally, the vehicle showcases a darkened grille paired with a contrasting silver skid plate at both the front and rear. Observing the SUV from the side, the newly styled black 18-inch alloy wheels stand out prominently. Inside, the Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition features all-black leatherette upholstery, replacing the traditional Ivory interiors. To offer a touch of contrast, both the seats and select areas have silver stitching. This theme extends to the door panels, dashboard, air conditioning vents, and other interior components, all integrating various black elements. Importantly, this version of the SUV will only provide a seven-seat option; the six-seat variant is absent. Meanwhile, the features offered remain largely unchanged from the standard model.
