After the years of selling out of EverBank Field for single shows, Monster Jam has scheduled two shows in the Jacksonville this weekend on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, the Monster Jam trucks are custom-designed machines which sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. Built for the short, high-powered bursts of speed. The Monster Jam trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 mph. Monster Jam trucks can fly up to 130 feet in the distance and up to 35 feet in the air. The event will feature the return of a hit military-themed truck, the Soldier Fortune Black Ops, from the February 2016 show. The other Monster Jam trucks include the Grave Digger, driven by Adam Anderson; Max-D, which driven by Neil Elliott; Monster Energy, driven by Damon Bradshaw; Scooby-Doo, driven by Brianna Mahon; El Toro Loco, driven by Becky McDonough; and many more.
While both the events will feature the same truck lineup, driver line up, and the track design, Monster Jam races will result in different results at the each show. The Monster Jam Racing is a bracket-style, and timed competition around the track and also no two events are exactly the same.
For the first time, the Jacksonville events will be a part of the Monster Jam FS1 Championship Series in which the drivers will compete for points in each event with the winner at the end of the tour receiving a bid to the Monster Jam World Finals in the Las Vegas in March. The events will air on FS1 by the weekend after, where fans can relive all of their excitement from the weekend before. With the addition of second show on Sunday, the tickets are still available leading into the weekend, which has not happened for Monster Jam in Jacksonville in several years.
Trump Visits To Florida Costs $1.5 Million
Both the events will feature everything fans have come to know and expect at the Monster Jam. The Pit Party will be starting at 2:30 p.m. for the Saturday show and at 10:30 a.m. on the Sunday show, giving fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Monster Jam trucks and also the drivers.
A Pit Pass and corresponding event ticket are required for the entry. Pit Passes can be purchased at the Veterans Memorial Arena Box Office, online at the Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster Outlets for $10.
