Homegrown brand Lava is preparing to introduce a new smartphone in India. The company has recently posted a teaser for the upcoming device on a microblogging platform, which shows an important design feature. It is hinted that the phone will have two screens, with the extra display positioned on the back, near the camera area. Although specific information has not yet been provided, the new Lava smartphone is expected to have dual rear cameras. The business announced that a new Lava smartphone will launch in India soon through a post on X. However, the exact release date has not been confirmed, and the teaser image states that it is "Coming Soon. " The social media update shows the device features a smaller, rectangular secondary display on the back, which is part of the rectangular-shaped camera setup. It has two lens rings for the dual camera design. The text on the back panel indicates that the upcoming Lava smartphone will have a 50-megapixel AI camera system.

Regarding its design, the phone has sharp and rounded edges, along with a slightly elevated camera section on the back. The right side of the upcoming Lava smartphone looks clean, implying that the power and volume buttons may be on the left side. However, the name for this new device has not yet been revealed. It is predicted to be similar to the Xiaomi 17 Pro models, which come with secondary M10 displays on the back, featuring a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Interestingly, the brand has previously launched two smartphones with dual displays in the last few years. The Lava Agni 3, released in October 2024, includes a 1.74-inch AMOLED touchscreen on its rear panel. At the same time, the Lava Blaze Duo, which came out in December 2024, also features a 1.58-inch AMOLED screen (228x460 pixels) on the back, with a pixel density of 336ppi.

According to the company, the secondary display on both of these smartphones can be utilized for taking selfies with the rear cameras, managing music playback, and adjusting settings for timers or alarms.
